Life is Art itself.
Gardens are the re-creation of symbol of nature and stage of culture.
The ¡°Hanging Gardens of Babylon¡± were built by Nebuchadnezzar II (605 - 562 B.C.) around 600 B.C. He is reported to have constructed the beautiful gardens to please his wife who suffered from homesickness. What kinds of trees and plants were grown in the gardens and how the gardens were created? We have known that culture is placed in the opposite of nature. According to this, nature is not artificially made but has autonomous life and culture that was made by human beings. Nature lies within our recognition from the beginning so that nature is perceived as culture and cultural thing. The ceramic works are produced from the inspiration of the ¡°Hanging Gardens of Babylon¡±, representing spaces with multi-layered structure constructed by crossing lines, as well as modern cities and architectures composed of lines and facets. This stage of nature is the reconstruction of creating fantastic spaces, which have geometric structures and lyric sensibility.
